You can view these wards on display in certain restaurants in the North East of England.

With a unique way of mounting the glass to the base, a stained Glass technique was used to create a simple design that appears to float above a steel base.

This unique design features a combination of glass and cast pewter to achieve the spine theme used for the awards.
Creating a distinct profile these awards offered something of an alternative to a plain glass "plynth" award.

This brass figurine holding a hand blown glass cup became the inspiration for a further series of these awards which can also be seen within the gallery. Dame Shirley Bassey is one well known winner of these awards.
